Woah! I'm actually making an effort to blog! *pats own shoulder* Anyway, i was going through some old stuff today and i found things from when i still lived in Singapore =) Glad that i kept all of it! I found graded English compositions, school news thingys, letters and notes/conversations between my friends and i. It sure made me reminisce about the good old times.
Actually, thinking about going to school in Singapore made me realise how much i was involved in school activities. I was a school prefect 5 out of the 6 years of primary school. It started in Juying Primary, where i first lived..that was in primary 2 cause they had something called junior prefects or something. Before i was allowed to be a prefect, i was class monitor! YEAH GOODY TWO SHOES HUH. -__-
Besides being a prefect, i was in the drama club HAHAHAHA. The extra curriculum activities i was a member of were librarian, brownies (girl guides) drama club and basketball. Oh and art club and chinese dance club at Juying. The rest were from Teck Ghee. That's like a whole lotta difference compared to now, i avoid school activities as much as possible haha.
My drama club file!
Came across all the scripts and stuff =)
Oh! and i came across this! I WANNA BRAG
Cambridge English competition for schools or something. Quite amazed by the results. 41/50 is like really not bad! Plus, my personal average compared to the rest of Singapore was quite high as well.
hihi ^^
I participated in the science and maths tests as well, even though i passed, it's nothing special or high out of the ordinary. English was my best subject.
Ok enough bragging.
I remember when i was in primary 2 i would go to school damn early with my cousin and we would play catch with some other people! Don't know what i was thinking of! I could have slept more =p
When i got to primary 4/5 i was already too lazy to do my homework and think " i'll do it in the morning". In the end, my seniors from primary 6 would do my homework for me hahahahaha. Oh and i sucked at chinese. I still do. Because i sucked at it, i didn't like it and would refrain from doing homework hihi. Can't believe that i have chosen chinese as my 2nd language in school now. Ohwell, interests change huh.
I remember playing basketball during PE one sunny evening and i got hit, full force, right in my face by the basketball thrown by Kelly hahaha. Why? cause i wasn't paying attention and i was waving to someone cute. DAMN THAT HURT.
Hmm..and having to teach/hear someone say the pledge to me backstage, before going on stage for the morning pledge and national anthem. People placed on monday morning and friday evening had to sing the school song as well haha. In Holland, there is no such thing. I think 90% of the people here don't even know how to sing the national anthem. Can't blame them though, it's freaking 16 couplets long. How to remember?!
Anyway, i've gained some very good friends throughout primary school. I think the longest one i still have contact with would be Melvin. Knew him since i was in primary 4. There are more, but there was a few years of no contact till facebook and twitter came along. Soo.... he's the one that kept calling, messaging, sending letters, emailing and now bbm'ing throughout these years =) I can't believe i don't have a pic of us together.
5 Topaz during racial harmony day =)
Ohhh that's a good topic too. Racial harmony..another day perhaps.
Overall, i think i turned out quite ok. I'm not addicted to drugs/smoking/alcohol/whatever and i'm still studying. I think my father would have been proud of me if he was still alive. His biggest wish besides watching me get married was to watch me graduate from university. Even though he's not around anymore, i'm still gonna try to make that happen so that he can watch from above, if that exist.
To stop this getting more emo, i'll stop for now. Blogging made me hungry! Tata!
